Roelof Hugo is the Chief Operating Officer of South African Coal Mining Operations (Pty) Ltd (SACMO).
He has extensive experience in the mining sector and his experience includes working for BHP Billiton for 27 years where he worked on various operations and management portfolios.
After his tenure at BHP Billiton, Roelof also worked for Sentula Coal as a Chief Executive Officer responsible for managing the coal portfolio of the group. Roelof also holds a Mine Managers Certificate of Competency; a Diploma in Loss Control Management and is a member of the South African Coal Managers Association. |

Antony Rayment is the Chief Executive Officer of South African Coal Mining Holdings (Pty) Ltd (SACMH) and a Director at JSW's Africa Operations. Rayment has had significant experience in cross-border investments activities between India and Africa.
Before his current appointment at SACMH, he headed the India Desk at Standard Bank Corporate and Investment Banking. Prior to that, Rayment headed Investment Banking (India) at Rand Merchant Bank.
He also held various senior management positions in corporate finance as Head of Corporate Finance at PKF in South Africa and as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Ernest and Young Corporate Finance in South Africa. |

Phillip Buckle joined Umlabu Colliery in July 2010, and has expertise in central planning and project management in the mining industry. He is responsible for all legal compliance (MHSA, MRPSA, NEMA, DMR) at Umlabu Colliery, which includes carrying out the 3.1 (A) legal appointment for the mine. In addition, he is responsible for the development and implementation of the safety plan and security and access control plan and execution at the mine. His role includes operational management, shaft and decline excavations at the Umlabu Colliery.
Phillip has gathered extensive experience in the mining industry since the start of his career as a Technical Assistant before joining Sasol in various production designations. Later, he moved to Mafutha Mining as a Senior Project Engineer before advancing to the Mine Manager position in the same company. In his Senior Project Engineer role, he managed detail pit design, slopes, access ramps and infrastructure. Phillip was tasked with managing the labour structures and quantities. He was also responsible for technical track-mining, mining equipment selection and resource margin ranking. |

David Miller is the Chief Financial Officer of SACMH. He has expertise in numeracy and the analytical ability thereof, including the integration of financial concepts with business/technological systems and concepts. His experience in the financial sector includes several accounting and financial management designations with companies such as Murray & Roberts Holdings Limited, before his advancement to successful financial directorship roles later in his career.
As the financial director at Dextal Industries Ltd and Pharmaceutical Franchise Management (Pty) Ltd, he was tasked with all managerial and statutory reporting and IT analysis. David passed the S.A.I.C.A Board Exam on his first attempt; an outstanding accomplishment, and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. |

Logistics Manager: Marcel Jansen van Vuuren

| Marcel Jansen van Vuuren joined Umlabu Colliery in March 2010 and has expertise in commercial administration and yellow fleet management in the mining industry.
His role at Umlabu includes setting up a seamless logistics operation. This includes fleet management, personnel management, sourcing; repairing and managing the maintenance of transport equipment at the Umlabu Colliery. His experience includes working for Motlatlo mine as an administrator and as a logistics manager for Bantaq; where he was responsible for managing the company's fleet for the eleven branches situated countywide.
His experience also includes yellow fleet management; surveys; sales and marketing. |

Pat has in excess of 20 years experience as a company secretary in the listed (JSE, main board and ALTx, and LSE) and unlisted environments providing the necessary guidance and legal compliance on the requirements of all legislation and regulations in respect of Company Law, JSE regulations, corporate governance and other statute applicable to the business. She has also provided guidance and management to pension and provident funds as trustee and as principal officer.
Companies where she has been employed have been Lonrho, later known as Lonmin, ICL South Africa, later known as Fujitsu, African Rainbow Minerals,provision of an outsourced company secretarial service to Zaptronix and SACMH and is currently Company Secretary of South African Coal Mining Holdings Limited. |

Anil Pilad was appointed as a 2.13.1 engineer at Umlabu Colliery in November 2010. He is responsible for managing the legal aspects of the underground and opencast mining operations. He is also responsible for the maintenance of the crushing, screening and wash plants. His key mandate is to manage DMR requirements and to ensure that the mine runs without any major loss-time, injuries or fatalities.
Anil's experience includes working for Anglo Thermal Coal's Landau Colliery as an EMV Engineer-responsible for the maintenance of all earth moving machinery on the colliery. Before being appointed as an EMV engineer at Anglo Thermal Coal, Anil worked as a mini pits Engineer; where he was responsible for the overall running of the coal handling and preparation plant. At this plant, he was tasked with dealing with clients' demands, safety, quality and consumable stock management. He was also responsible for the maintenance of the crushing, screening and wash plants. |
